Youth Outreach Programme Cameroon was founded in 1993 as a youth association. We started functioning in 1995 and are strongly committed to working with young people fighting poverty and inequalities in their communities. We work with adults and young people who put their skills and knowledge at the service of communities across Cameroon.

Since we started we have reached out to more than 25 000 young people in various communities across Cameroon, notably in the North West, South West, West, Centre, Littoral and Far North provinces. Most young people have carried on with the volunteering spirit in their communities while others have become hyper-active members of YOP. We aim to increase the standard of living and improve quality of life among youths, especially those in rural areas. We also hope to increase participation and influence of young people within mainstream society.
