All Lives Matter – Youth Voices
Over 45 young people mostly young women have shared their experience living in the North West and South Regions of Cameroon where an armed conflict continues to rage on after four years.
Sharing experiences some of the young girls spoke of being arbitrarily arrested and others the ordeals families members kidnaped and huge ransom demanded by kidnappers. The occasion was during a 3-day workshop organized by Youth Outreach Programme with support from The Crisis and Support Center.
The participants were able to analyze the ongoing conflict, its root causes and understand different approaches to arriving at lasting peace. A session on Human Rights equipped them to be able to identify the rights that were being flagrantly abused in their various communities.
